Colin wanted to keep things simple so he chose our two outfit Flyby Session. He brought two casual outfits and a coat to spiff things up a little.
We wandered around some back alleys in Crystal Lake and found some interesting locations to photograph. Lots of texture and grit. We try to keep things simple for guys and in less than an hour we were done, with lots of great images to choose from.

nfocus Model Reps get a free outdoor senior photo session this summer as well as an optional free session in the studio this spring. During these sessions we’ll be trying out new ideas and backgrounds as well as creating photos for our advertising and other promotional materials for the Class of 2018.
You’re going to be the first ones from your senior class getting photographed and your photos will be all over Social Media and the nFocus website!
In addition to the free photo sessions, if you refer your friends to nFocus you can earn things like discounts on your senior photo prints, cash bonuses and eve metal prints of your images. Also every time your refer a friend you’ll receive an entry in our year end drawing for an Amazon Echo!!
To qualify:
1. You must currently be a high school Junior who wants to have your Senior Photos taken by nFocus Photos.
2. You must be able to attend a consultation meeting with one of your parents at our studio in Crystal Lake.
3. Most importantly, you must be excited to promote nFocus to your friends and encourage them to have their senior photos taken with us!
Make sure your parents know you’re applying because once I get your application I’ll be back in touch with you and your parents to set up the consultation meeting. Our Photo Shoot with Life Change Coach Kristia
She came to nFocus in early 2016 looking to add some professional images to her website.
Kristia chose a three outfit session so she’d have a nice variety of images to choose from.
We also decided to shoot on a clean white backdrop, so the images would be easy to edit and match the nice, clean look of her branding and website.
Kristia has a ton of energy and her session was fast paced and a lot of fun!
She brought along her husband, Rich, who jumped in for a few photos. She also brought Jude Ann Artistry to do her makeup and keep it fresh!

nFocus: Did you enjoy your session and working with Nick?
Kristia: Yes, very much!!!
n: What if anything would you do differently?
k: I would not have done anything differently!
n: How did your session make you feel?
k: I felt like a celebrity! 
n: What did you like best about your photos?
k: I liked the variety of photos, as well as the poses and the props to choose from!
n: Have you used your photos in your business?
k: I have been using my photos all year long in my branding!
n: How?
k: I’ve been using them to promote my fitness challenge groups and to invite others into the business opportunity!
n: Do you feel the photos have helped your business?
k: Yes!!! The photos make my site look more professional!!

Senior Photos with Mckenzie of Hampshire High School
McKenzie was one of the nicest seniors we ever had the please to work with. She was a cheerleader on the Hampshire squad that won state in 2015 and also sang in the choir.
As a Model Rep we photographed McKenzie in the studio during the Spring of her Junior year and then again outside in the summer when she was officially a senior! Our outdoor shoot stared in Downtown Algonquin where we found lots of cool, grungy backgrounds and then moved into Cornish Park. I loved the outfits McKenzie chose and the floppy hats she brought were a blast to photograph!!
Here’s what McKenzie had to say about her nFocus experience, “My session made me feel great!! I knew my pictures were going to be amazing just setting foot into the studio. I wasn’t very nervous, I just did not know what to expect. After about 5 minutes of taking pictures I was super comfortable and able to take some great pictures! Nick really knows how to make someone feel good about themselves! I felt so confident and pretty taking them!! I think it’s so important to get professional senior pictures taken. People usually just put it off and use their school photos, but end up regretting it later. I love the way my pictures look!!”

Photo Shoot with Lifestyle Blogger Abby

This wasn’t the first time I had the chance to work with Abby, as she came to me for senior photos a few years back. It was great to get a chance to catch up and work together again!

“I had the privilege of shooting with Nick from nFocus Photos earlier this week and I am absolutely in love with the product! We spent about two hours coming up with ideas for the shoot (photos I wanted for my blog) and every single one turned out. His studio has so many props, backgrounds, fans, lights, & more! Definitely a place I’m going to come back to on my next visit home. 10/10!!”

Family Photo Session in Lakewood, Illinois
The new house is beautiful in every detail and so is the family that lives there. Lots of fun to photograph and we had a beautiful fall day to help things along!
One of the things that makes the Tarzians so fun to work with is they always come to sessions with great ideas and well thought out outfit choices. Notice here they stick to solid colored clothing that blend together? Little details like that go a long way in creating timeless portraits that will look great hanging in your home!

Our Senior Photo Shoot with Talia in Algonquin, Illinois
Talia’s a 2017 senior at Jacobs High School in Algonquin and one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet! I loved getting the chance to capture her personality with my camera!
The weather was very cooperative and we had a fun, breezy session. Talia’s Mom and Grandmother came along which added to the fun. We even took a few three generation photos.
All in all it was a fantastic day and here’s what Talia had to say about her nFocus experience:
“My favorite part was definitely trying new poses and just changing it up! There are so many different aspects of our personalities and what makes us unique and my session really reflected that! I felt so happy after my session! I could not stop smiling!!!“

Ellie’s Senior Photo Session in Cary, Illinois
She’s in charge of lighting for outdoor sessions as well as making sure all the little details are perfect. If you took senior photos with nFocus in the summer of 2016, Ellie was the person pointing a light at you and making sure your necklace wasn’t crooked!
I was a little worried going into the session because Ellie’s so good at her job , but obviously couldn’t work the light on herself. The day was saved when her younger brother agreed to fill in and everything was perfect!
In fact, most of Ellie’s family came along that day which kept things lively. Her grandmother jumped in for a few and it was just a really fun time and great session!!
Here’s what her Mom wrote me after Ellie’s first photo session in the studio last Spring before she was working for me – so she wasn’t just buttering me up… 🙂
“When my daughter came home and asked if she could go to nFocus to have her senior pictures taken, I was hesitant. Our older son had gotten his pictures taken at the school and I had not heard of nFocus. I am so glad we went and met with Nick. He is a top notch, professional photographer. Nick listened to our input regarding the style of pictures she wanted and even used Elizabeth’s favorite music during her studio shoot. He has exceptional equipment and a vast array of backdrops. I’m not sure who enjoyed the photo shoot more, Elizabeth or me. The pictures he took are striking and really bring out her personality and interests. nFocus is AMAZING!!!“

Fitness Photo Shoot with Clarissa
Clarissa’s a fitness instructor and competitor who I’ve photographed a few times now. She was just starting to compete the first time I worked with her several years ago and the transformation she’s made has been nothing short of amazing!
For this session we had Taylor of Taylor Stevens Salon and Spa in Algonquin do Clarissa’s makeup. Makeup is so important in sessions like these and Taylor is the best!
During the session we took some boxing images to really show her strength and toughness. We also did a few in a Superman t-shirt that showed her more playful side.
We just had a bunch of fun and ended up with some terrific images to show!

Senior Photos with Makenzie in Hampshire, IL
I first worked with Makenzie when I photographed the Hampshire Cheer Squad after they won state in 2015! They were a blast to work with and I loved having the opportunity to work with Makenzie and some of her teammates again, taking their senior photos this year.
We photographed Makenzie in the studio last Spring and then again outside in late July. I’m pretty sure it was hot for her outdoor session because every day in July was hot this year, wasn’t it? And I know it was sunny out because her freckles were a poppin and looked amazing in her photos!!
Makenzie was nice enough to write a review about her experience and here’s what she had to say, “I had a great time from the moment I walked through the door, everything we did was so fun! My session made me feel beautiful! Having pictures that turn out so great really makes you feel good about yourself!! I loved trying new poses I’ve never done before and having them turning out great!”
