Today we’re featuring our senior photo shoot with Amber who’s a senior at Hampshire High School. Amber was one of our Class of 2020 Model Reps and we had so much fun working with her!

Amber actually had two outdoor senior shoots because after the first outfit of her first shoot it began to pour!! We waited patiently hoping it would clear up, but once it became obvious the rain was not going to cooperate we chose another day to finish up.

Between the two shoots we ended up with some amazing photos. Amber claims to have never done this before but she was a complete natural in front of the camera!!

Here are some are favorites from the two days!

We had a chance to catch up with Amber and asked her what she though of her nFocus experience!

nFocus: How did you like the Model Rep experience?

Amber: It’s been an honor to be a model rep for you. I had such an amazing experience and all the pictures are fantastic! You are truly an amazing photographer!

n: Did you ever feel awkward while you were being photographed?

A: I felt like I was coached tremendously during our shoots. I never modeled or even had pictures taken of me before! I did not know what to do. If it weren’t for you telling me what poses to do, I don’t think the pictures would have turned out as good!

n: What was your favorite part of your photo shoots? Personally I loved the crowd you drew in downtown Algonquin when we were photographing you in the middle of the street!

A: This may sound cliche – every single part of my shoot was my favorite! But I would agree, it was pretty cool when I gathered that crowd while taking pictures in the middle of the street!!

n: What are your plans after high school?

A: My plans are to go to a four year college in Florida. Hopefully I’ll make the cheer team as well! But I also would like to obtain a masters degree after graduating college. I would love to be a physician’s assistant.

n: Deep dish or thin crust?

A: Deep dish all the way!

Today we’re featuring our first ever senior photo shoot with triplets! Here are nFocus model reps Macey, Maddie and Morgan from Burlington Central High School!

When I first received their Model Rep applications in January I was super excited… I’d never photographed triplets before! But it didn’t take long before a bit of nervousness crept in…  I’d never photographed triplets before!

So many moving pieces in a multi-person session like this – And how was I going to tell them apart!

But once I met these three my fears quickly subsided.You couldn’t meet three nicer young women! So much alike (they all love the Iowa Hawkeyes), but still three distinct, larger than life personalities. Macey with her love of music, Maddie with her compassionate heart and Morgan the free spirit!

My job was to try and capture a bit of their distinct personalities and hopefully I’ve done that in the images you see here!

It was a crazy, rollicking session and without question one of the most fulfilling of the year!

Today we’re featuring our senior photo shoot with Kierra who’s a senior at Crystal Lake Central! She’s a fantastic dancer and plans to major in dance at college.

Kierra was one of our Class of 2020 reps which gave us the opportunity to do a dance focused shoot in the studio last Spring. I’ve got to tell you, she is an incredible dancer! If I asked her to try something, she’d nail that and then do something even more spectacular! What a blast!!

We also did a prom dress shoot and then her senior shoot outside in the summer. By the time we got outside in the summer Kierra was so comfortable in front of the camera and so much fun to work with!

nFocus: Thank you so much for being an nFocus Model Rep! How did you first hear about our Rep program?

Kierra: I first heard about nFocus through a friend on instagram. She posted her senior pictures and I though they were really pretty. I also received a DM from nFocus and decided I was interested by the professional pictures displayed on their instagram.

n: How did you like the Rep experience?

K: I loved the rep experience! I have already brought up to my friends a grade below me to use nFocus for senior pictures, they all said they were interested because they loved my pictures on instagram from nFocus.

n: What was the favorite part of your photo shoots?

K: I loved how I could change outfits and you were open to trying different things. I liked how patient you were with me and taking the photos. I also loved being able to look at the pictures right after and being able to take the picture as many times as I wanted until I was satisfied with how I looked.

n: Is there anything you would do different either to prepare or during your shoots?

K: Honestly no! I felt very prepared because of all the tips you gave me before the shoot.

n: Did you feel like you were adequately coached through the shoots?

K: Yes! I felt like each shoot I had you helped me so much with every pose. I felt very comfortable and not awkward at all, I loved being told what to pose like because I never know how to pose for pictures.

n: Did the final photos turn out the way you had hoped?

K: Yes, I loved all of my photo shoots. Some of them turned out way better than I expected even, which was awesome and super cool.

n: What are you most excited about being a senior?

K: I am most excited about all the privileges seniors get, like front at football games, getting some days off and other grades don’t, etc. As a freshman, I was so excited to be a senior and do all the things they got to do and it’s finally here!

n: I know you love to dance. If you could dance anywhere in the world where would it be?

K: If I could dance anywhere in the world, I would dance anywhere in Europe.

n: What’s your favorite song to dance to?

K: My favorite song to dance to is “The Beautiful Dream” by George Ezra

n: What are your plans for next year and beyond?

K: My plans next year is to attend a 4 year University and I am majoring in dance, after school the dream is to become a professional dancer in a professional dance company and hopefully open my own company

n: What was something you ate regularly as a younger kid that you now cringe at the thought of eating?

K: When I was younger I loved corn dogs and now I cannot stand them.

n: What’s something most people don’t know about you?

K: Something most people don’t know about me is that I can play the piano.

Today on the nFocus blog I’m featuring our senior photo shoot with Abby from Huntley High School! If you had your senior photos taken with us this summer there’s a good chance you got to work with Abby who’s our lighting assistant and the most personable person you’ll ever meet!

It was great to get a chance to work with Abby in front of the camera too! She brought a ton of great clothes, an infectious smile and a fantastic attitude! She was a lot of fun to photograph as you’ll see from all the great photos I’ve posted!

I had a chance to catch up with Abby and hear what she had to say about her nFocus Model Rep experience!

nFocus: Thank you so much for being an nFocus Model Rep! How did you like the Rep experience?

Abby: I loved being a model rep for nfocus, it was definitely a very fun experience! I would recommend this to anyone and everyone, the pictures turned out amazing! Being a model rep isn’t time consuming or anything of that sort, it’s a fun experience to add to your schedule !

n: What was the favorite part of your photo shoots?

A: My favorite part of the photo shoots is honestly being posed and seeing how the photos turn out afterwards.

n: Is there anything you would do different either to prepare or during your shoots?

A: I think it is better to come with more outfits than not enough. Also always bring accessories they really add to the photos!!

n: Did you feel like you were adequately coached through the shoots?

A: I honestly never felt awkward throughout the shoots, they were always fun. I did feel very well coached, Nick always makes sure you’re comfortable when doing photo shoots!

n: Did the final photos turn out the way you had hoped?

A: The final photos turned out better than I had hoped! They are such good quality and definitely worth the price!

n: How does it feel to finally be a senior?

A: To finally be a senior, is honestly a very rewarding feeling. I feel as if I have finally made it, and am ready to move onto the next chapters of my life.

n: What’s your favorite food you can buy in the school cafeteria?

A: The frosted sugar cookies the school makes, they are always perfect.

n: What are your plans for next year and beyond?

A: My plans for the next year and beyond are going to a 4 year college and then going to med school. I plan to be a pediatric doctor, because I love working with kids and am very compassionate towards others.

n: When you have spare time, what do you like to do with your friends?

A: When I have spare time I love to go shopping, I know I should be saving my money but it is so nice to go out and buy something for yourself.

n: If you were on a desert island and could only have one song with you, what would it be?

A: If I were on a desert island and I could only have one song with me it would be Tie Me Down by Gryffin

n: What’s something most people don’t know about you?

A: Something most people don’t know about me is that I am a vegetarian and have been for almost 6 years now!

Today we’re featuring our senior photo shoot with Carley who’s a senior at Huntley School. Carley was one of our Class of 2020 Model Reps and was a complete blast to work with!

As an nFocus Model Rep Carley was able to attend special photo shoots with her prom dress and her BFF’s in addition to her outdoor senior shoot in the summer! She even brought her boyfriend to her outdoor shoot for a few photos (but mostly we put him to work)!

nFocus: Thank you for being an nFocus Model Rep!! How did you like the Rep experience?

Carley: I loved the Rep experience and would definitely recommend it for anyone! I wish I could do it all over again!

n: What was your favorite part of the photo shoots?

C: My favorite part was being directed by Nick, I was able to get amazing photos out of it!

n: Is there anything you wish you’d done differently either to prepare or during your shoots?

C: I don’t wish I had done anything differently Nick provided hair products so I looked my best!

n: Did you feel like you were adequately coached through the shoots?

C: I felt like I was coached very well and did not feel awkward at all! I was very happy with the way Nick directed me so the photos turned out the best!

n: Did the final photos turn out the way you had hoped?

C: They were better than I could have even imagined!

n: Are you looking forward to your senior year?

C: I can’t wait for senior year!! But it is bitter sweet and I am sad for all my last firsts.

n: What’s your favorite thing to eat in the school cafeteria?

C: Chicken Nuggets

N: What are your plans after high school?

C: Im going to a 4 year college!

N: If you could take a bridge year and spend it anywhere in the world, where would you go?

C: I would go to Greece! I think it’s really really beautiful there!

Today we’re featuring photos from our senior photo shoot with Chloe who just started her senior year at Huntley High School! Chloe’s one of our Class of 2020 Model Reps and we loved each and every shoot we did with her!

There was a dance shoot as well as a pet shoot with her dog, Dexter who even joined in on some of the dance photos! Chloe also brought a few of her friends into the studio for a BFF session that was a total blast! But the highlight was her outdoor senior shoot where she brought several outfits perfect for the urban and nature locations we selected for her shoot!

We had a chance to talk to Chloe about her nFocus experience. Here’s what she had to say…

nFocus: How did you like the Model Rep experience?

Chloe: I really enjoyed my Model Rep experience! I enjoyed how there are specific shoots that are meant for group pictures and individual. I’d recommend this to anyone who wants pictures that fit your personality and interests.

n: What was the best part of your photo shoots?

C: I really enjoyed being able to bring my friends and dog into my shoots. This made the pictures more personable and high energy. It was fun to work with new people in group shoots and the enthusiasm came through in the pictures.

n: Did you feel like you were adequately coached through the shoots?

C: I definitely feel like I got more comfortable in front of the camera as each shoots progressed. Whenever I felt unsure of how to pose I was coached into what looked best.

n: Your Mom came to your outdoor shoot this summer. Did you feel like it was a good bonding experience?

C: Having family at your shoot allows feedback on poses and pictures. It was a fun shoot to prepare for, with multiple outfits and locations to look forward to.

n: Did the final photos turn out the way you had hoped?

C: My final pictures turned out the way I had hoped. I enjoyed both locations of my summer shoot and the weather turned out to be perfect. I had a bunch of versatile photos with many different looks and styles.

n: What’s your favorite meal in the school cafeteria?

C: I usually bring some fruit to snack on during my lunch period.

n: What’s your favorite place to shop for clothes?

C: I love taking an occasional trip to Woodfield to have more clothing options. The mall offers so many more stores like Dry Goods, American Eagle, and Hollister.

n: If you could take a friend to any concert in the world, who would you go see?

C: I would love to go to a Khalid concert, his music is always upbeat.

Today we’re featuring photos from our senior photo shoot with Veronica who’s going to be a senior at Harry D Jacobs High School in Algonquin this fall! She’s one of our Class of 2020 Model Reps and one of the funnest people I’ve ever photographed!

Besides being a blast to work with, Veronica had a bunch of great outfits and ideas for her photos. We even stopped by Smoothology in Crystal Lake for a few photos on their marvelous pink couch! Veronica ordered a smoothie and her one word review was – Delicious!

We had a chance to talk to Veronica about her nFocus experience. Here’s what she had to say…

nFocus: Thank you for being one of our Class of 2020 Model Reps! How did you first hear about our rep program?

Veronica: I found out about the model rep program through some people that go to my school and I followed nFocus on Instagram!

n: Did you enjoy the rep experience?

V: I loved the experience! I have always loved getting my pictures taken and dressing up for photos. This was a perfect opportunity for me to try something new and to put myself out there.

n: You participated in a few different themed shoots as well as your summer senior shoot. Of all the shoots, what was your favorite part?

V: My favorite part was that I got to do some poses of my choice and got to be creative. I also really liked meeting new people at the themed group shoots!

n: Knowing what you know now, would you have done anything differently to prepare for shoots?

V: If I were to do this again I would have not temporarily dyed my hair right before my senior session.

n: Did you feel awkward during your shoots at all?

V: Not at all! Nick was very helpful with telling me what poses to do or what facial expression to make in each photo. He also let me do some of my own ideas which I really liked!

n: Your mom came to your outdoor session. Was it a good bonding experience for the two of you?

V: Yes! Me and my mom had a good time together! She helped me make sure I looked and felt comfortable with what I was wearing. She also got to see the behind the scenes of my senior pictures and I was very happy to share the fun experience with her.

n: Did the final photos turn out the way you had hoped?

V: My senior pictures look amazing and I couldn’t be more happy with them! I had so much fun taking the pictures too!

n: What are you looking forward to about being a senior?

V: I am really excited to be the oldest in the school and to learn more about myself. I want to attend as many school events as I can so I can remember my four years in high school.

n: If you could vacation anywhere in the world, where would you go?

V: I would have to say Australia or Greece because they both look like beautiful places

n: I know you want to go to UW – Milwaukee. What are you looking forward to about college?

V: I am looking forward to the new beginnings and meeting new people. I am so excited to start learning more about myself and finally being able to study what I want.

n: Are you already a Brewers fan?

V: I don’t follow baseball that much but I will be attending games because I will be in the city and It will be a fun thing to go to with friends.

n: What’s something most people don’t know about you?

V: I was born 2 months early and I only weighed 3 pounds and 9 ounces!
